Kurt blir grusom

Fredrikstad Animation Festival is on this week and I'm a volentee usher and van driver, whichmeans... I get free tickets to all the screenings. Score! Yesterday I saw 'Kurt blir Grusom'. A Norwegian animated feature. I have been looking forward to seeing this film for a long time and it's really cool! I love the designs and sets, and Kurt is a great character. He is happy truckdrive untill a doctor moves in next door. Kurt becomes jealous, things escalate and he pretty much ends up trying to take over the country. Qvisten have rather successfully integrated my home town Oslo into the film, which for me made it seem more real. I kind of wish they would have take more advantage of the potential in the story to deal with some great grown-up issues that could have made this film more enjoyable for all ages. All in all though it is a fabulous film!
