Last week I met and mingled with two people I admire the pants off!! Their animations are mine blowing and for completely different reasons.

First up was Andreas Deja. He had a talk about the nine old men from Disney. He show original drawing and told stories about how it used to be. It is incredible how these guys developed and pushed animation. They came up with the principals all animator learn in training. Then Andreas showed his own art work. Jafar, from Aladdin, Scar, from the Lino King and many more. This guy is an incredible drawer and animator.

Then I met PES. He considers himself a film-maker, but his animations are brilliant. He uses mostly found objects and animates them in a way that you relate to them as something else. A nut can be believable as a baby and matchsticks, big scary bombs. If you haven't seen his work you have to check out eatpes.com!!!

And where do you randomly bump in to people of this calibre... well in Fredrikstad of course.
