Animated films dealing with simular topics

First film is Dog (2001) by Suzie Templeton. This film about a father and son relationship, the mother has past away and they are both in the own way dealing with the loss. Not really talking to eachother about it they make it worse.
Templeton made this film as part of her degree at the Royal College of Art in London.

The Periwig-Maker (1999) by Steffen Schaffler is a great portrait of a man surrounded by death. Set in a plague-infested London.
One can already seen the style of Corpse Bride in the puppets design by Carlos Gangrel and created by Mackinnon & Saunders Limited. You understand what they are thinking and feeling through simple movements. A beautiful film!
