2008 - 2010 ANIMATION MENTOR
I completed Animation Mentor (AM) in April 2010 where l refined my character animation skills. I was coached by some of the leading animators in the US from companies such as Pixar, Weta Digital and Rhythm & Hues. It was a collaborative study environment where giving feedback to others and meeting tight deadlines was an integral part of the work and personal development. The school supplies models for Maya so I could focus 100% on the animation. |

2006 - 2008 MA ANIMATION at THE UNIVERSITY OF THE WEST OF ENGLAND
During my Masters degree I chose to specialise in stop-motion animation. While making the short film The Mason I learned about story development, soldering ball & socket armatures, puppet making, set building, animating and editing. |
2003 - 2006 BA TIME-BASED MEDIA at THE UNIVERSITY OF THE WEST OF ENGLAND
I gained valuable experience dabbling in a variety of different media. I learned how to turn ideas from concept into professionally finished products in radio, film and interactive media. During my graduation year I focused on animation and created the short film Snail Pace in Flash. |
2002 THE THREE-MONTH BRISTOL ANIMATION COURSE
I took my first steps in animation. Starting with bouncing ball exercises I was introduced to the principles of animation and how to apply them. I also worked on walk cycles and dialogue. |
